180k is almost a house. If you graduate from Z you can take on a mortgage instead of paying off your debt living in an apartment. I'm sure you'll do extremely well at Z too, and you can go to fully funded grad programs if you want. I went to a public university for free and don't have any regrets really. If I could do anything differently, I'd go to a small liberal arts college for undergrad. Only reason I can see for going to MIT is for the prestige and the elite connections. But that life is not for everyone. |
