You should absolutely go to MIT. Consider negotiating more aid as someone else suggested, but even if that doesn't work, this is the best investment you'll ever make. If you want to do research, MIT's UROP program is amazing, and you'll be able to do whatever research you want as an undergrad. I really value my time at MIT - not only from an academic point of view, but also socially. Boston is full of college students, and believe it or not, MIT is actually probably the most socially active school there.
