I find that slack has moved my writing towards lists more and more. Specifically anything up for a group discussion that can be broken down into a series of points I do, and I use a different "line" to do so. This way each statement can spawn a thread for further discussion. I don't always use numbered lists or even bulleted lists, but I write for a series of items rather than a block of interwoven information.

This is similar to some academic writing I've done where the author of a section writes each sentence on a separate line so that it can be commented on more easily before all the sentences are rejoined into paragraph form.
