That’s happening where I work. There was a shock round of layoffs a few months ago, triggering a mass exodus. They’ve now had to start hiring again to make up numbers. The amount of team disruption, lost domain knowledge and hiring expenses, especially as new people will want to be paid more, must have cost the business far more than they saved from the layoffs. So short sighted. |
