I like to think that GDPR did some good by completely ignoring technical limitations and going "no, just find a way to do it". It forced people to address some privacy concerns that no one cared about (like deleting someone's data off every record incl. backups) because it was a technical challenge with no money to make. Web3 seems to work the opposite way. The tech works like that, so the world better adapt to it. I can't believe I'm saying this, but for once I'm happy that it's not technicians that make the laws. |
