Can I suggest that not literally using the SS logo might be a good first step, if you want to avoid Nazi connotations? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schutzstaffel

hn.devss.io is our webapp for hackernews. Page is redirecting to our home page which is not developed yet and the logo is discarded. Our developer will remove that logo from page. Sorry for that.
