This looks like an excellent read and it's going on my list. Absolutely no doubt remains in my mind that smartphones and social
media are dangerously addictive and have caused widespread changes in
the mental acuity of billions of people. We're in the midst of
something that will take decades to fix, and decades more to unpack
and understand what went wrong. But what to do about it? Pablo Escobar, Chapo Guzman and the Taliban have nothing on the scale
and profitability of the new barons. We need a paradigm shift in how
people relate to each other and what we value in life if we are not to
be sucked into abject dependency. |
