Oh check out the HP 110 from 1984!. [1] I lusted heavily after them but could never afford one. There was an editor and spreadsheet included so it was fully functional. It was far lighter than later portable competition like Compaq and Kaypro luggables. Speaking from experience you didn't really need or want to park a Compaq on your lap, just the keyboard. [1]
