I did a lot of taping of movies that were broadcast locally. Lots of documentaries on PBS were many hours long and broadcast over the span of several days, or once a week over the span of several weeks. The only way to see them, for me, was to schedule recording for the entire series. I had quite a collection of Woody Allen films on VHS only to watch then deteriorate before my eyes. It was sad to see them go. |
