Why do this? Because we don't have electric or hydrogen airplanes yet, and it takes forever to approve an airplane and for it to become widespread. Even if it is only 10% efficient, some form of carbon capture is going to be required to hit carbon zero. This is one of the most promising mechanisms for carbon capture. |
