It isn't necessarily difficult, but one of the aspects that makes it challenging is the lack of resources to learn a new language from the POINT OF VIEW of a programmer. When learning a new language I don't need to go through all the basics again like, if statements, loop types or variables, it just makes learning tedious, and I can't just skip that part, or I might miss out on nuances of the language. Again, tedious, not difficult.
