In my experience, it's nearly impossible to convey information so accurately that the the receiver is likely to make the same decision you would make. There is a simple low-effort high-information solution to this problem - have everyone vote (or bet) on the decision. This, more than anything else, will reveal whether or not you've reached understanding/consensus/alignment. (This is not to say that the final decision should be made by voting, rather it's to gauge the level of consensus) |
