You have two options, If you have a good manager just say that you just want to keep the same volume of work to be done and that will be all. If you have a bad manager just lie, say that the work is hard enough, that its challenging maintaining a codebase up to date, that you are interested in this kind of work, that there is lots of work to be done, documenting, making tests, replacing old parts with newer parts and that you see your future being an expert in that kind of tasks. Usually there is a kind of trade off between being responsible for a piece of software and the amount of work to be done on that project. |
