Yes sure. For example, I cannot even give you exact numbers of the footprint of the food we eat or the electronics we use. That would probably a good number to put on a lot of things, in terms of allowing people to make decisions not only on price and quality but hidden costs. The problem is that externalities are what the name says: things you are not required to factor into your price (something or someone else takes a hit). |
