Convenience mostly. If you want to sell or buy more. If I get him by a bus my partner can go through the legal system to attain the funds as opposed to trying to find and manage my keys. Even if you are on an exchange you can always export and transfer abroad or to anyone else outside of the formal financial system. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. I'm just looking for options other than 100% self custody and 100% reliance on an exchange |
