Personally I hope this works. I've always liked the name Karen. It would be great to see it get rehabilitated. I'm not a Karen, I don't know any Karens, but I can imagine that this must really suck for them.

I knew an Osama at university in 2003. Poor guy had to change his name. Another nice name ruined.

I wonder why certain names acquire the infamy of their worst namesakes (e.g. Adolf) and not others (e.g. Vladimir, Joseph)
I asked myself the same question for Joe, Donald, George etc. Everything is relativistic. As history teaches us the only difference between good and bad people is who they killed ( or ordered to be killed) .
There are people named Saddam Hussein in the US. Possibly with slight spelling differences.

As Michael Bolton said "Why should I change? He's the one who sucks."
