> why shouldn't _you_ get to pocket the difference in the cost of living? When I pay $x for something, I pay $x because I am betting I will not be able to get that something for less than $x. If I think circumstances have changed and I can now get that something for less than $x, then I will try to get that something for less than $x. I might fail, or I might succeed, but at any given time, it seems prudent for me to be shopping around for the best price for me. I assume others also behave in the same manner. |
