I think he had his doctorate even before he joined Anandtech. He only started using it because people were asking him why he didn't put his Dr. in his title. And it means a lot in different context. Basically it could be used as the biggest middle finger to marketing and PR department to STFU and get a proper engineer to talk to me. Especially in the context of foundry where his research was on Electrochemistry. |
