Was expecting to read from r/overemployed, but not too disappointed to see it on r/trueoffmychest. > I will be able to retire in a couple of years if I keep doing this. Not sure about the ethic of this (companies pay me and I do work for them), but it is changing my life, and I will become a millionaire before being 40. Awesome. IMO it should be fine as long as you deliver what you're expected to deliver. Thus if given the possibility I'd gladly go for it. I read stories a few years ago about missed overemployment opportunities: a guy who automated his job and got fired[1]; another one who literally outsourced his work to China but got busted and fired after the network team saw suspicious incoming connections on the corporate network[2]. Glad to see this getting popular though, with remote working making easier than ever. I'll think about it when I have meetings and "slow" days.
