> The thing was designed and taught by CS faculty, so naturally they taught you the basics of programming using math. I would have honestly made the same assumption that students interested in programming would have no problem with high school level math. Maybe an intro course aimed toward the business school wouldn’t be as math-heavy? 6.001 was notorious for starting out with examples from calculous and required some proof reading. But it wasn’t aimed at anyone. It’s tougher to enroll in 6.001 than most other intro courses. |
