A couple of things worth considering 1) CS::software development is a bit like physics::mechanical engineering 2) CS at waterloo definitely skews to the cs-is-part-of-applied-math thinking in many ways. Other university CS programs are very different. I'm not saying a "practical programming for non math/cs types" course isn't a good idea, just that really isn't what you signed up for. |
