The problem is that US law says that the US can tell a US company to share data with US Intelligence Agencies even if that data exists in a subsidiary outside of the US. That's why simply storing EU data in the EU isn't enough when there's a US company involved. Our surveillance state isn't just horrible for privacy, it's also bad for business. |
