My country of birth - in Africa - is aligned with the formerly communist nations; if they had to opt-in to a fragment, it wouldn't have been to the Western one. I might have never been able to emigrate. Fragmentation seems like a leap backwards in time and a slap in the face of the promise inherent in the free flow of information. |
