A recent HN submission [1] highlighted that a surprising amount of detailed employment history is shared by employers with third parties. When I pulled mine it said “SW Dev Eng 4”, curious to see if that’ll change to “Associate” after I quit… or if third parties track the entire title history, like they do track salary history.
