While a brutal dressing down of the company, I have to admit that this is one of the most nicely made decks I’ve ever seen.

What is the reasoning behind them sharing this publicly, I wonder?

They're an activist fund. They own 5% of the company, and want the CEO removed.

Increase short interest I guess? Presume they have a massive short position.
Based on their press releases, it sounds like they actually hold significant stock, hence the urgency to do something about it I guess.

No, they own 5% of the company. The deck is not a take down of the company, is a take down of the CEO.
Interesting, thanks for clarifying!
They want to improve the price as they hold the stock, probably want to offload it and are hoping a CEO change will lead to a price bump.
Are we calling slideshows "decks" now?
The way I learned it, decks are slideshows that are information-dense and can thus be read independent of a presentation. But Googling it just now reveals that they're interchangeable words.

So... yes.

And here I was thinking my boss wanted to battle me in Magick.
