ADHD is recognized as a disability that employers are required to make accommodations for under the ADA (in the US). If you disclose your ADHD diagnosis to your employer, they are required to take reasonable measures to enable you to do your job. I have not gone through this process myself however, so I cannot vouch for how it would go for anyone else and YMMV.
