Some of that depends on the state. California will issue a driver's license to undocumented immigrants, just not a REAL ID license. I think undocumented immigrants can also get Medicaid in some states. Of course it's a stressful life and they have to work under the table and can't travel internationally, but if their main goal is for their kids to be Americans, they may think the sacrifice is worth it. |
