The perspective on this one is rather important I'd say.
To run a service and buying a few IPv4 addresses is quite feasible. But operating an ISP and maintaining either large numbers of prefixes or costly CGNAT hardware at that scale puts it way more into focus. Of course I'm not implying that IPv6 isn't nice to run inside your infrastructure but I guess it isnt at the top of ones expenses. |
