Wasn't that the entire selling point with Apple's W1 chip? That it's bypassing standard bluetooth handshake protocol and handling the pairing themselves? Airpods seem to be more reliable for that than most bluetooth experiences I've had, but it's still not as good as I'd hoped given it's supposed to "just work" |
