Is this "the grass is greener..."?

Small(er) companies have politics, they espouse family values ("we are a family, lets rally!"), but it's only a one way street. It's still very much a business relationship, just without the big tech pay.

I think you'll find that small tech has issues. Is there no way to treat working for big tech as a business transaction and compartmentalize the negatives?

I'm aiming to get into big tech because I need to work, so if I'm working 8 hours a day (or so) then I might as well maximize my earnings.

Maybe you can, but I can't. It's so exhausting when it's an everyday thing. Constantly in Slack. Constantly in emails. Constantly expected to believe the exact same thing and if you don't you're a racist bigot that doesn't deserve life itself.

You gotta do what's right for you.

Have you tried moving to a different team/org?
