> I felt this movie was truly awful. Vacillating between a comedy and a serious movie. As a leftist I felt offended at the leftist pandering and idiotic portrayal of conservatives in the film. They were more of a blend of left and right than you might appreciate. The president's smoking habit was a clear reference to Barack Obama, and all of the photographs of her with celebrities was a reference to Hillary Clinton. Unqualified children working as advisors was a reference to Donald Trump. I would argue that what you see in the characters is more of a reflection of your political leanings. |

It’s anti political elite. Anti business elite. Anti American right.
It’s not pro Democrat. Much as the Kingsmen wasn’t pro Republican.
The Fox News equivalent, idiot military man shooting at the moon, and conspiracy theory culture were all “liberal” pandering though.
