I’ve heard about how music is written by labels these days. They get a bunch of writers in a hotel for a few days and brainstorm song themes and lines, then mix and match what works. Writers will get paid for a couple of words. It’s no wonder the songs these days say nothing, to anyone, unless you’re a brain dead teenager or emotionally stunted adult. The tastes of which have driven the industry for decades now. I just want something that’s relevant. |
