I've lived in Korea off-and-on over the past decade or so. Just go in visa-exempt and leave every 90 days to Japan or wherever for a weekend. I've never had any problems. You're not going to be able to find a software job in Korea easily, and if you did, you probably wouldn't like the work culture. Just work remote or teach English if you need cash.
