This brings to mind a plague of romance scams. I have a close relative who was duped by a woman who wanted to move in with him but needed him to cash some checks for her first. I'm guessing you're smarter than that and your fiance is someone you've actually met IRL and have a physical relationship with. So condolences on her prognosis, a scam would actually be easier to recover from.

ahaha thanks for your concern, but we've been dating for 3 years, met her the old fashion way at university. :)
Sadly I know someone who also optimized for being cautious of a romance scam and their penpal verifiable died from a preventable ailment. If only she sent that $100 dollars they explained they needed.

She had initially met this person on vacation and stayed in touch and they eventually asked for money. Guess its impossible to tell the difference!

what sort of 100 bucks prevents a death?
Color me skeptical, but antibiotics could fit the bill.
Yeah like Africa? Where else would 100$ buy anything
