It depends on the industry and company/client size you want to work with. For better or worse, large institutional companies and slow-moving industries are still often on the 'Microsoft stack' top to bottom, from desktops to backend infrastructure. I work in healthcare, and this is especially true here. These companies/industries have strongly entrenched attachment to the Microsoft world, its certifications, etc. Microsoft cultivates this, Amazon imitates this, others try to emulate this. Because $$$. |
