You don't even need to mention this stuff, and if you're not an employee I think the chances of being compelled to divulge it are low. Especially if you're freelancing. Secondly, if you are an employee, I think you can develop a good narrative to explain where you came from, where you are today, and how you've changed (etc), and how serious you are about putting it behind you. You could even suggest some initial 'concessions' like a longer probation period for you, to prove your commitment and ally their potential concerns. |
