I think companies are generally willing to pay money for software, but the things they're willing to pay money for are generally not the things that would make their employees' lives easier. Employees value reliability, ease of use, and speed, while the companies themselves value integration with other systems and ISO compliance. Atlassian software is not good, and it is not cheap, but it does offer an end-to-end story for the rigid workflows encouraged by many investors. |
