I've worked with Drupal since 4.7 on many projects. I was excited for the release of Drupal 7, but was amazed at how bloated it was. I've completely given up on Drupal now. You WILL spend more time working against it's api then you would just building something custom with a traditional framework. Drupal should really look at codeigniter/expression engine for an example of a core/platform separation that works really well. |
