The decentralization aspect of web3 is something I am striving for in my app designs, but more about doing more in the client rather than at the server. The Semantic Web is definitely the more interesting thing- for instance LD-JSON and OpenGraph are really opening up possibilities for those building crawlers, and we mainly have Google to thank for encouraging websites to use it for powering rich search results. I hope they keep it up and the rate of adoption of these technologies continues to increase :-D |
