Bottom line: The advertising driven internet is full of crap and fueled by privacy invasion.
Users who are aware of this are forced to spend a lot of time and effort trying to block most of it.

Exactly, but I think the biggest part of the users isn't aware and is deliberately pressured to buy/sign up/whatever...
