Yes, you are basically out of luck. Apartment complexes in the Bay Area are generally built on lots that are, for one reason or another, undesirable for single-family homes. This is the result of as clash between state-level mandates to build multi-family housing and homeowners unwilling to allow multi-family housing to get built next to their homes. |
