I don't really know if there's a firm consensus as to the official nominal voltage of a lithium ion cell, but I was going off of 10 cells (in series, aka "10S") being considered a 36V system (that gets up to ~42V when fully charged). 12S seems to be considered the highest voltage that the original VESC can reliably handle, which works out to 43.2V at 3.6V per cell. |
