They proposed to darpa to modify bat coronaviruses with a new furin cleavage site, darpa denied it for being too dangerous, and 2 years later we have a bat coronavirus with a furin cleavage site from a pangolin inserted with no genetic evidence of natural mutation. “Let’s weld a horn on a horse and make unicorns. No, too dangerous.” Two years later we see unicorns running around the same lab that proposed it. |
