It is reasonable, if it’s true. It was reasonable initially. Unfortunately, that narrative isn’t very true or honest, and it’s getting less true over time. This vaccine’s method was developed for years before COVID hit, and specific mRNA vaccines can be developed faster than other kinds. It took the normal amount of time to get testing and FDA approval, and at this point, the vaccine has been both approved and more widely tested than almost all other vaccines in history.
