Corroborated by the fact that the biggest backers of this were all the big companies that can afford to spend $ trying to patent _anything_, while the little inventor may have to wait for a loan to come through, etc. Additionally, clearly Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy is out of touch with the tech boom. "...we could unleash the genius of our country and put our entrepreneur class to work and create jobs. It can let us compete with the rest of the world."
