An unfortunate behavior I notice is that, regardless of healthcare available, most people ignore their health until something is actually wrong. Then they have to go through the ordeal of finding a primary care doctor, getting recommendations, figuring out where to go and how to work the system, etc. People seem to expect everything to just work (1st world problems?) without adding in their own efforts. So, it doesnt seem to matter entirely about healthcare available as much as the patients interest in helping themselves. |
