If your BMI is 25.0 to <30, it falls within the overweight range.

If your BMI is 30.0 or higher, it falls within the obesity range.

My body fat percentage: 12.8%

My BMI: 21.5

I learned from Facebook that numbers have a funny way of becoming the numbers you want them to be if you just measure and frequently record them. I highly recommend this body fat percentage scale with Bluetooth for $21-$22. I use it myself. It also measures changes in muscle mass and percent body water.

Not an affiliate link; just a recommendation. I have to remove the batteries when it’s not in use though so the AA batteries don’t corrode or die.

BMI is meaningless. Dwane the Rock Johnson is morbidly obese according to BMI
Yes, muscle is heavier than fat so someone who workouts out frequently would show up as obese. The numbers could also fluctuate due to changes in percent body water. It’s far better to use percent body fat for athletic builds. There’s cheap body fat scales and hand held devices available to buy from many retailers. They aren’t accurate at measuring your percent body fat but are very precise at measuring your changes in your percent body fat.
He takes roids or he used to take roids.

Hypermuscular people are so rare that they really don't count. Many steroid users fall over dead in their 40's or 50's from heart disease.

I love watching football but I don't think an NFL defensive lineman is a good model for being healthy.

I'm certainly not going to argue that taking steroids makes one healthy. My point is health cannot be determined by measuring height and weight.
BMI is for measuring normal humans, not rocks
According to BMI I'm overweight, but no longer obese. I know I could lose another 20-30 pounds if I wanted to. I don't want to.
Fun time to ask right after Christmas holidays.
