Had it in September. Double vaxxed Moderna with second dose early May. It was bad. Intense fever, headache and I could feel it setting up in my lungs. Complete loss of taste and smell. Took me a solid 3 days to be up moving around and 8 before I was back to to good.

But what was worse was the fear. I don’t buy in to a lot of the fear mongering that’s done around this thing. I know it’s done to get people to take it seriously because there is a non-zero chance you will die. But the anxiety almost killed me. It was far worse than the illness itself.

Interestingly enough, the stats here are that the double vaxxed shrug it off, unless they have immunity problems. According to our healthcare folks, most of the dying ones are unvaxxed. We're assured that even if efficacy is low, you're about 99% less likely to be hospitalized.

But I personally know plenty of single vaxxed people who died. And my symptoms from the second vaccine (pfizer) were nasty enough for a fake virus, I can't really imagine it being light for the real thing. I feel like there's some missing context.

A little context here: my wife is not vaccinated, and neither are my 3 children. My wife and my oldest child had it for 2 days before I got it. It's likely the viral load in my house was extremely high.

Just had my 3rd dose of Moderna, and the first day after was just as bad as full blown COVID. You'd be hard pressed to get me to do that again.

Single vaxxed isn't immunized... If you don't get the 2nd shot you could have pissed on the first too (at least for the mRNA vaccines)
