Mine has Google Maps because my 1st gen iPad had it, and so I would have had to take action to not end up with two maps apps. iOS maps were not well regarded at first, in case you don't remember that far back.

I was the same. But for several years now I use IOS maps exclusively and have long since deleted Google Maps.

It feels great having google completely out of my life.
