Given how quickly I got used to having Amazon listen to every word uttered in the house, I extrapolate that this is something that people will eventually do and get used to.

Privacy is dead, unless we win the war for general purpose computing, then it might be possible to resurrect it. You certainly can't have privacy with devices you don't actually own in your home.
